160MP Camera Primary Release of new Honor handsets with 66W charging

On the Chinese market, the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro with their curved OLED panels and 160MP cameras powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chip have been unveiled.

Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro have a similar design, with a hole in the center of the glass and a camera capsule resembling that of the iPhone 14 Pro. The Honor 80 Pro features a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with a resolution of 2700 x 1224px and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Two cameras, 50MP and 2MP Depth Sensor, are utilized in the camera hole beneath the ear speaker, which is fashioned like a capsule.

The base model of the Honor 80 features a slightly larger 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The front punch-hole camera features a 32MP selfie camera, and the processor utilizes the newly announced Snapdragon 782G Chipset. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset is included with the Pro model.

Both the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro feature a 160MP primary camera. This camera features a f/1.8 aperture, a 1/1.56″ imaging sensor with 0.75m pixels and 16-in-1 pixel binning, and a new Image Engine with skin texture detection and advanced AI RAW scene optimization algorithms. AI Vlog option has also been included for those who desire advanced video editing capabilities.

The Honor 80 Pro’s additional camera is a 50MP Ultrawhite Module. Honor 80 is equipped with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Both of these handsets include a 4800mAh battery with 66W Fast Charging and MagicOS 7 based on Android 12. Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro are black and green, respectively. It is available in blue and pink hues.

The base model Honor 80 (8/256GB) is priced at 2,699 Chinese Yuan. The 12/512GB variant will be sold for 3,299 yuan. The Pro model 8/256GB version costs 3,499 yuan (approximately 10,000 MYR), while the 12/512GB version costs 4,099 RMB.
