Elon Mas declared that Twitter was going to hire new staff

Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, announced the end of layoffs after reducing the workforce from over 7,000 to 2,000.

Following the layoff of nearly two-thirds of Twitter’s 7,500 employees in three weeks, the company’s CEO announced that he would be hiring new employees. Elon Musk stated at a Twitter employee meeting that the company is hiring for engineering and sales because it has already reduced its workforce. According to records obtained by The Verge, two of the meeting’s attendees urged the employees to get in touch if there are any employees who should be recruited.

This statement was made by Elon Musk on the same day that Twitter’s sales staff was terminated. Robin Wheeler, the head of Twitter advertising sales, Maggie Maslin Sonnywick, the vice president of Twitter partnerships, and Sarah Rosen, the head of US content partner research, all quit their jobs last week.

Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company resulted in the dismissal of nearly the entire senior management. Elon Mart stated that he would call again, but did not specify which department from the engineering and sales departments he would contact. There are no job openings posted on the company’s website at this time.

Twitter also announced that the $8 per month Blue Subscription system will be discontinued until the issue of fake accounts and impersonation accounts on the platform can be resolved.
